Automatic Transmission Fluid
Venom automatic transmission fluids (ATF) are specialized lubricants tailored for the lubrication demands of modern automatic transmissions. Unlike manual gearboxes, automatic transmissions require fluids that can perform a myriad of tasks simultaneously: lubricating gears, acting as a hydraulic fluid in the torque converter, cooling the transmission, and ensuring smooth gear shifts by reducing friction between moving parts. Given the complex nature of automatic transmissions, with their array of clutches, valves, and solenoids, ATFs are formulated with a precise blend of additives that prevent wear, resist oxidation, and maintain fluid stability across a broad temperature range. Moreover, the proper viscosity and frictional properties of ATF are crucial in ensuring consistent, smooth, and efficient transmission performance, ultimately contributing to the longevity and reliability of the entire drivetrain system.
